An important mission of SpatLab is to provide students with access to real-world spatial datasets, professional database technologies, and research-oriented project environments. The laboratory enables students to develop practical skills by working on current challenges in spatial data integration, geospatial analytics, database design, and large-scale spatial data processing.
Projects are based on authentic datasets obtained from research collaborations, public administration, industry, and open geospatial data sources, allowing students to gain experience with modern geospatial information systems and database technologies.
